Fabric required
– A Fat Quarter of Beige/Cream Fabric – for top panel and bee panels
– 4″ x 8″ scrap of Beige Striped Fabric – for back of pockets
– A Fat Quarter of 1st Medium-toned Mauve Fabric – for violets, gathered panels and back panel
– A Fat Sixteenth of 2nd Medium-toned Mauve Fabric (slightly lighter than the 1st) – for violets and back panel
– 2 coordinating pieces of Green Felt – 3 ½” sq of a darker piece AND 3″ sq of a slightly lighter piece
Embroidery threads and notions required
– 1 skein Variegated Green Thread – stitchery on top panel – I have used Cottage Garden Threads Perle 8 – 809 Oregano (2 strands of stranded cotton is also suitable)
– 1 skein Variegated Yellow Thread – for bee and violet centres – I have used Cottage Garden Threads Stranded – 309 Wattle Blossom
– 1 skein of Medium Brown Stranded Thread – for bee – I have used DMC 3790
– 1 skein of Light Grey Stranded Thread – for bee’s wings – I have used DMC 648
– 1 skein of Stranded Thread to match your buttons – for button attachment
– Metallic Thread – for bee’s wings – I have used Gutermann SULKY Metallic CA02776
– 25cm (1/4 yard) x width of Fusible Stabiliser
– 3″ x 4 ½” scrap of Vliesofix/Fusible Webbing
– 25cm (1/4 yard) x width (assuming 30cm/15″ wide) of Freezer Paper
– Two x 10-15mm (1/2″ – 3/4″) Buttons to compliment your mauve fabrics – for centre of top and bottom panels
– Toy filler, wool or other filler
– General sewing supplies
