This month I was lucky enough to attend two wonderful “creative events”.
The first was the annual Quilt In held by The Patchwork Tea House. Almost 200 people came together at the Warburton Golf Club to stitch for the day…. that’s a lot of simultaneous stitches under one roof! The club rooms overlook beautiful gardens with a backdrop of green mountains. I so wish I’d taken a photo. The day is truly enjoyable… and I was thrilled to be invited to attend this year. Feel like a great creative browse? Take a look at The Patchwork Tea House website and Facebook Page.
I didn’t think I’d be attending Australian Quilt Market this year. I thought finding my way in the first months of distributing my own patterns might be enough to manage and I knew I wouldn’t be quite ready to have my own stand this year. But guess what! Great friend, Libby Richardson of Artsmart Craft Cottage invited me along to help on her stand! So I was at AQM after all…. how great is that?
Libby kindly displayed a number of my projects in with hers too. It was a wonderful weekend, catching up with store owners from across Australia and New Zealand and other friends in the industry. AQM is one of my favourite events of the year. Thank you Libby for inviting me along. If you’d like to see more of Libby’s work, you can find her website HERE and find her on Facebook HERE.
November has certainly been a busy month…. time to get back into stitching again. Deciding what to stitch first will be the trick.
Keep an eye out…
I have a new pattern to share and a 6 pattern giveaway coming up!!
You’ve certainly been busy, Melissa. So many beautiful projects!
Just love the pretty Dove Candle/Jar holder, I belong to a craft group and would love to make some for xmas presents to show the knitters there is fun in quilting too.
cheers
Nean
The candle wrap dove is a creation in its self. I would make this for sure. Very creative indeed, well done.
