A rambling rose… (and giveaway winners)

There have been lots of exciting things happening here over this past little while… Beginning a new design is always a joy, and seeing how it develops is even better. How about a little peek or two at something I've been working on?

This has been such fun to make…  a little applique, a little felt, some gorgeous variegated thread (Oregano from Cottage Garden Threads) and some flower construction.

To add some final touches, I've used ecru Perle thread to quilt a few subtle swirls and diamonds.

I've had a few hiccups with typepad over the past few days, and have therefore had a delay in announcing my giveaway winners.

The Typepad support team have me all sorted now, so without further ado, let's find out who has won "A Cornflower Gathering" pattern.

CONGRATULATIONS to you Angela and Sandy! I will email you both shortly for your addresses. I look forward to seeing your versions of "A Cornflower Gathering".

I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead and are able to find a moment or two to sew. I have the last few stitches to complete on a secret project for the September issue of Homespun Magazine (no sneak peeks for that one, sorry) and then tomorrow I'm heading off to central Victoria to spend some time with my gorgeous sisters. Can't wait…
Until next time,

Sounds exciting about the Homespun pattern. Can’t wait (but I guess I will have to). I am trying to get some birthday sewing (for my grandchildren) done, then I hope to start on the waterlilly brooch (with the pattern that I won). Have a great week.
