A giveaway where everybody wins!!

How about a free One Day In May pattern?
Darlene, of Bee Sew Whimsical and Snickerdoodle Dreams, recently invited me to contribute a pattern as the Snickerdoodle Dreams, "Guest Honeypot Designer" for June. There is a wonderful Snickerdoodle Community to become a part of ~ a warm home for creative social networking. It's very simple to join and it's free!! As an added bonus, each month, members find a new stitchery design or other small creative project to download, create and enjoy…
Well, how could I resist. Creative sharing is the very best part of this wonderful job I have.
Would you like to see what I came up with for their June project?
A Wreath For All Seasons ~ Framed Block - One Day In May, Creations by Melissa Grant
"A Wreath For All Seasons ~ framed block" suits an 8"-10" square frame. Combining a little stitchery, gathered borders and 3 sweet, dimensional flowers, this little project is the perfect size to create as a gift or to complete over a long weekend.
A Wreath For All Seasons ~ Framed Block 2- One Day In May, Creations by Melissa Grant
I have always loved quilts and embroidery with simple tones and colourways. In these early Winter days, I couldn't help but be drawn to these warm reds.
Adding texture and including a dimensional aspect to my projects, is something I always enjoy. There's just a hint of dimension here with these little, felted flowers.

How do you like working with wool? Your project looks good to me

  2. I love the felted wool Lesley! Sometimes I find I need to tidy up a few little frayed bits once the project is finished, but thats the only issue I’ve had… and I wouldnt really call it an issue. : ) The variegation and the colours are just gorgeous too. Ive also used them recently for a little project, designed for an upcoming issue for homespun. Lots of fun ~ Melissa
