A Scattering of Snow – festive table mat

– A small Christmas project featuring embroidered snowflakes, scattered amongst variegated pine branches. Simple stitches and neutral tones combine in this gently decorative piece.
– The embroidered panels feature ten unique snowflakes, each stitched with white and silver. These larger snowflakes are complemented with small, silver snowflakes and fabric stars. The stars are cut from easily made, double-sided fabric and attached to the background with central embroidery. The edges are left unstitched, allowing the stars to sit up from the background a little. This adds a subtle dimensional quality to the design.
– The “A Scattering of Snow” pattern includes iron on transfers for the embroidered panels, a full sized pattern sheet and an abundance of photographic and illustrated instruction. A small project to keep or to create as a gift, this design will make a lovely addition to any home, this coming festive season

– Solid Medium Beige Fabric – A Fat Sixteenth OR 25cm x width of fabric – for embroidered panels
– Small Off-white Print – 10cm x width of fabric – for fabric stars and binding
– Fusible Stabiliser – 50cm square – for embroidered panels
– Very Thin Fusible Batting – 10½” x 18 ½”
